Surprise! The second season of No Homo's Sky Expeditions is underway, and players have been juggling between running the latest mission and putting in time on the Mass Result remake, which released about the same time. Niggling did players know there was a huge crossover surprise coming, which players just started discovering today.

In Apr, Hello Games introduced a new mode of gameplay to No Man'southward Heaven called Expeditions. The showtime expedition, dubbed Pioneers, rewarded travelers with a gold starfighter to add to their livery and a new backpack pattern. Earlier this week, No Man's Heaven travelers started their second trek, called Beachhead.

On Fri, players discovered a jaw-dropping Easter egg as the legendary SSV Normandy SR1 from Mass Effect warped in from deep infinite (video above). The crossover, which NMS referred to every bit a "Universal Boundary Failure," was a completely unexpected consequence, timed in coordination with EA and Bioware to gloat the release of Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

What made the discovery fifty-fifty more than exciting is that travelers can add the Normandy to their fleet of frigates. The Normandy is an S-class frigate with the unique designation of "Deep Scout Prototype." It follows Mass Effect lore in that its stats lean toward gainsay and exploration thanks to its Mass Accelerator Cannon and Tantalus Drive.

Don't await to be handed the Normandy without any effort, though. As with the Golden Alpha Vector from the beginning expedition, the Normandy must be earned by completing the unabridged mission and achieving all the patches, which takes time, patience, puzzle-solving, and a bit of grinding.

The Pioneers expedition was a 4-week journey, which I completed with most four days to spare. Beachhead is a 2-calendar week expedition and is nigh half over. Information technology ends on May 31. If you hurry, you might however be able to grind information technology out earlier the deadline.
